About Me

Hello, and welcome to my blog! A quick introduction is in order. My name is Amanda (Mandy) and I’m a single mother to a gorgeous, brilliant, and mouthy young adult daughter, Madison. I have a miniature schnauzer puppy (because they’re forever puppies!), Babette. We hail from the Bluegrass State, but currently find ourselves in the land of Hoosiers. We haven’t lived a very typical life, but has been one to help us keep our coping skills in top notch shape! Not afraid of a challenge or to think more than twice about throwing all of our things into a U-haul and starting a new adventure, we have our fair share of interesting tales.

But this blog is for me. A creative outlet for things that set my soul ablaze. I have shared bits and pieces of my creative writing with family and friends via Facebook and otherwise, and have had multiple requests to share more, write a book, finish the story, etc. Writing has always been a way for me to purge whatever emotions I’m experiencing at the time. Sometimes it leads to a completely different path than it began with and I end up with a wild tale for someone else. I just never know until I get there.

My hope is for this blog to be the outlet I need and offer some entertainment and enjoyment for anyone who happens upon it. My grammar and punctuation can be as defiant as my personality, so be prepared to take it or leave it. It used to matter more to me, I promise.
