    Open For Business

Open for business. Drop off your damaged self. Re-purpose. Rehabilitation. I'll restore your health. Mend your heart and wipe your tears. Build back your self esteem. Remind you that you're lovable. Any girl's perfect dream. I'll shower you with affection. Compliment your smile. Laugh at all your jokes. Just pretend you love me a while. I'll get that ego all shined up and for no extra fee, I'll profess my undying love just before you leave. I'll stand at the door smiling as I watch you walk away. I'll save my tears for closing time after pulling down the shade. I'll sweep up the pieces of my heart from the…

    Wallflower

I am but a wallflower. Sitting by the wayside, watching life happen. Daydreaming of the day I get to dance. As it sit here, I whither. I become bitter and cold. I hurt and lose reason. When is my turn? Where is my song? The sun stops shining on me. I become fragile. I break. I lose hope. I question my value. Maybe if I were more like this. Perhaps if I were less like that. There Was

There was but a respite of light from the dark, of warmth from the cold. Wrapped up tightly in a walking daydream, and exposed the depths of her soul. She knew not the hour, or the day of the week he had stolen her heart away. She knew only his kiss and the smile on his lips, as he held her and bid her to stay. She awoke with a start, clutching her heart, as she brought into focus the room. She could naught but stare at the man lying there, make-believing he was you.

    Enough

Enough hours in the day. Enough air in your lungs. Enough music to play. Enough friends to hug. Enough joy in your life. Enough spring in your step. Enough grit in your fight. Enough laughing 'til you've wept. Enough faith in your God. Enough courage to take enough chances to trod the path that keeps you awake. Enough fire in your heart. Enough light to see. Enough hope to set you start to bring you home to me. Of all the things I wish for you, beyond all measures of love. Know my heart, only to you belongs, and I wish you, always, Enough. ~ A. Saam
